Our founders came from logistics and automotive backgrounds and had, between them, tried to scrap three family vehicles the old way - through informal yards. Every time, the story was the same: a price agreed on the phone that shrank on pickup day, a registration certificate that sat in a drawer for months afterward because no one filed the deregistration, and a nagging worry about whether a challan would show up on a car that technically didn’t exist anymore.
ScrapMyGaadi was built to remove that worry entirely. We route every vehicle through RVSF-linked facilities authorised under the Motor Vehicles (Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping Facility) Rules, 2021, so the two documents that actually protect you - the Certificate of Deposit and Certificate of Vehicle Scrapping - are issued the way the law intends, not skipped because it’s inconvenient.
What we believe
A vehicle owner should know what their car is worth before anyone touches it, get paid before it leaves their sight, and never have to chase a document twice. Everything we’ve built - from the estimate calculator to our pickup partner network - works backward from those three promises.
