No. ScrapMyGaadi is a private company, not a government agency. The Certificate of Deposit and Certificate of Vehicle Scrapping are issued on the Government of India's VAHAN system by the RVSF-linked facility processing your vehicle. You deal with ScrapMyGaadi throughout; the statutory documents come from the authorised facility.

It's checked against the national stolen-vehicle database, then depolluted - battery, tyres and fluids removed and safely handled. The vehicle is then dismantled, the chassis is cut and photographed, and recovered material is weighed and logged under applicable environmental rules.
